dave matthews band

Last Tuesday night I got the opportunity to see the Dave Matthews Band at the AMP, and I gladly took it. My parents had already seen him live multiple times, and everybody always brags about how fantastic he is live. He definitely proved that! Dave did a flawless acoustic set before the electric one, and everybody in the crowd loved it.

{Banana Republic dress, concert tee, Old Navy sandals, vintage purse)

In an attempt to make a trapeze dress seem more casual, I added a band tee over it and tied it to add shape. Since both were black, I added black sandals to complete the monochromatic look. I carried my vintage Dooney and Bourke bag since it's the perfect size for events and is easy to keep track of.

Also, I am looking for sponsorship/ collaboration opportunities, particularly with boutiques! If you have any interest, please email me. I would love to work with you!

love,

spring/ summer wishlist

Each season I love taking the time to go through magazines and my favorite stores' websites to see what's big. I like to think that I'm true to my own style, but I also love inspiration from what's currently popular! Summer clothes are my favorite because I feel like they have so much potential; you can easily be carefree in a pale, flowy dress or you can look tougher in ripped boyfriend shorts and a graphic tee. Also, I have uniforms during the school year, so the summer is the only season where I can really where what I want every day.

Here are some of the items I'm hoping to pick up this year:

These tees are my Brandy Melville picks! I'm in love with Brandy clothes because they are always comfortable and affordable. Their items make great staple pieces, and I'm sure I'm going to wear these shirts constantly.

(dress / sunnies / shorts)
Savoir-Faire is by far my favorite boutique in Fayetteville! The brands they carry are always well made, and they always have an array of unique pieces along with basics. This dress would be perfect and breezy with Docs or sandals. The shorts would be perfect with white tees, and I'm loving tortoiseshell and round glasses at the moment.

Topshop is a wonderful, beautiful place to shop. Look at the detail in the first shirt and the shorts! All three of these would be easy to dress up or down for summer events.

(dress / top)
American Eagle is fantastic because it can be like the cheaper alternative to Free People. There are always boho pieces for a way lower price. Also, this tank dress would be so easy to throw on on hot days.

(tank)
Maude is another one of my favorite local boutiques, and I can always find something I love there. This shirt looks like art, and I feel like my mood would be better just by wearing it!

(all pictures are from the store's websites/ the page I linked to them; none of them are mine)

prom 2015

I had prom last Saturday, and I had a wonderful time! The day was perfect weather-wise, and all went according to plan with my outfit. We took pictures at Crystal Bridges, ate dinner at a Thai restaurant, and headed over to the dance!

My dress was from BCBGeneration, and I was obsessed with how unique it was! The neckline was so complimentary, and I loved the layered lace on the top. I think the navy and black went together really well, and I'm normally not a fan of skirts like this, but I loved this one! I wore a pair of my mom's black wedges that aren't very visible in the pictures, but they definitely added some height. My hair was just loosely curled and in a half up with some of the front pieces left loose. I did my own makeup and kept it fairly simple-- gold eyeshadow with black cateye liner, brows, and a light lipstick. Overall, I was really pleased with how it turned out!
