makeup favorites

Though I'm a big makeup fan and stockpile eyeshadow palettes like there will never be another, I don't think I've ever done a beauty post. I started experimenting with products in sixth grade, and since then I've gradually found my favorites. Most of these aren't everyday things as I'm a late riser on school days, but they're staples when I take the time to do my makeup. Check them out and comment your favorite products!
The NYX Liquid Illuminator highlighter and NYX soft matte lip cream have been my most recent favorites. For the highlighter, I use the lightest shade, Sunbeam, which NYX's website calls a "pale pink pearl." It's so pigmented and gives you the prettiest glow. The lip cream is in the shade Milan, the perfect hot pink color. It applies smoothly, is incredibly pigmented, and lasts for hours. Both are super affordable-- the highlighter is $7.50 and the lipstick is $6. I totally understand the NYX hype now, and I'm looking forward to trying out new products and colors.
I'm super picky with blush, but It Cosmetics' Ombré Radiance Blush is wonderful! It's basically three blushes in one, and you can use the top color as a highlighter. It's shimmery without being obnoxious. I have the pink-based "Je Ne Sais Quoi" trio, and there are also purple and coral-based trios in this collection.
With acne prone skin, picking a foundation that will adequately cover without irritating has been difficult, but the Tarte Amazonian clay foundation has done the job. The coverage is flawless, it doesn't look cakey, and it stays on all day. This Tarte liquid eyeliner is the BEST liquid eyeliner out there. It has a fine tipped marker pen that draws the most precise lines, making winged liner a quick and easy job.
My eyebrows are blonde and blend into my face, so Maybelline Brow Drama in soft brown fixes that in an instant. It's basically a mascara for your eyebrows with a sculpted applicator that tints and fills in brows for the day. It always lasts and never clumps. I've bought so many in the past three years.
This Urban Decay Setting Spray has helped my makeup last through school dances! If you've ever been to a high school dance, then that's all you need to know.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette  is my latest obsession. I'm a sucker for eyeshadow palettes and have accumulated my fair share, but this one is something else. The pink colors are so pretty, and I love all of the warm tones. Since I'm a big fan of mattes, I love that 11 of the 14 are pigmented mattes. The pink velvety packaging is too pretty, and the double-sided brush is great. You can create endless beautiful looks.

much love,
claire
